  1. Both the House and Senate rejected resolutions attempting to rein in the use of military force in Iran.

  2. U.S. military service personnel stationed in the Middle East are sending home photos of meager unappetizing meals and delivery of care packages has been suspended.

  3. National Weather Service balloons are being launched later in the day than usual, delaying tornado watches.

Encouraging developments don’t always make the headlines, But good news can provide us with hope and momentum, so let's take heart!

  1. Over the objections of GOP leadership, a group of House Republicans joined House Democrats to pass a bill that would extend protections for Haitian immigrants.

  2. State good news roundup! The Montana Supreme Court held the state’s constitution protects trans individuals’ rights to update state-issued documents to reflect their gender identities. A county attorney in Minnesota filed criminal charges against an ICE officer. The California high court disbarred the attorney who devised the scheme to subvert the 2020 presidential election.

  3. A group of House Democrats has introduced articles of impeachment against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
