  1. Senate Democrats stood their ground and refused to authorize funding for Homeland Security in the absence of ICE reforms, most likely triggering a partial government shutdown.

  2. Immigration advisor Tom Homan announced the conclusion of Operation Metro Surge in Minnesota and National Guard troops were withdrawn from Chicago, Portland, and Los Angeles.

  3. A federal judge in Minnesota issued a scathing and detailed order finding overwhelming evidence that ICE unconstitutionally infringed on detainees’ right to counsel, while a judge in the district court for Washington DC ruled that the administration must facilitate the return of more than 100 Venezuelan immigrants wrongfully deported to El Salvador.
