Bad News First

Sometimes I think, "Now there's a series of words I never imagined." Click the links if you can't believe it either.

1. A new EPA rule rejects the scientific finding that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases endanger public health and welfare, removing the legal basis for nearly all climate regulations under the Clean Air Act.
2. The FAA grounded flights in and out of the El Paso, Texas airport after the military failed to coordinate with the FAA before using an experimental laser to disable a party balloon, believed to be a drone operated by a Mexican cartel.
3. Attorney General Pam Bondi testified before the House Judiciary Committee and … maybe just take a look for yourself.

But Here’s the Good News

Good job calling and writing and doing all the things! Some encouraging words:

1. Senate Democrats stood their ground and refused to authorize funding for Homeland Security in the absence of ICE reforms, most likely triggering a partial government shutdown.
2. Immigration advisor Tom Homan announced the conclusion of Operation Metro Surge in Minnesota and National Guard troops were withdrawn from Chicago, Portland, and Los Angeles.
3. A federal judge in Minnesota issued a scathing and detailed order finding overwhelming evidence that ICE unconstitutionally infringed on detainees’ right to counsel, while a judge in the district court for Washington DC ruled that the administration must facilitate the return of more than 100 Venezuelan immigrants wrongfully deported to El Salvador.
