  1. World Liberty Trust, the Trump cryptocurrency venture, has received preliminary approval to become a bank.

  2. A longstanding rule prohibiting the construction of roads in national parks is being rescinded and park signage describing historic contributions of enslaved people, Native Americans, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals is disappearing.

  3. ICE is trying to shield cooperating local officials from misconduct claims, offering to pay for their liability insurance.

Good News!

Encouraging developments don’t always make the headlines, But good news can provide us with hope and momentum, so let's take heart!
  1. Minnesota makes the DOJ 0 for 23 on attempts to access state voter rolls. Perhaps not coincidentally, the Department announced plans to send 1000 monitors to the polls this fall.

  2. A second federal appeals court has ruled that the administration can’t avoid seeking congressional approval for U.S. Attorney appointments by leaving an interim prosecutor in place.

  3. Following allegations of prosecutorial misconduct, a federal judge in Minnesota wants to see all grand jury materials associated with the indictment of 38 people, including two journalists, for conspiracy.
