Soon after the shooting, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz, suggesting that the solution to violence triggered by ICE enforcement is for the state share the records of welfare recipients, repeal state sanctuary policies, and allow access to the state’s voter roles.
